A sexual dysfunction can be defined as any type of hardship encountered during any stage or age of sexual gestures. This means it is not exclusive to the old. Erectile dysfunction may also be caused by the lifestyle of the individual. Such lifestyle factors that may lead to erectile dysfunction include smoking, taking of hard drugs, drinking of too much alcohol, side effects of prescription drugs, stress and so on.

Erectile dysfunction is not due naturally to ageing. There are people above seventy (70) and even ninety (90) who are still very sexually active and do not have erectile dysfunction problem.

The main difference between people who continue with the erectile dysfunction problem or condition is the ability to open up to their doctor in good time.
