The Senate of the University of Lagos have today elected Prof Ogunsola as the new VC of the University of Lagos. This came up after the Federal Government have given the nod last Friday night that the Senate should proceed with the process.
Prof Ogunsola was the former Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Developmental Services. Before she became DVC she was the provost of the College of medicine.
She got 135 votes out o the total 167 votes cast at the Unilag Senate meeting.
Her co contestant, Prof. Ogbojafor got 31 votes while 1 vote was voided.
