The current VC of UNILAG have proved again the saying that ‘what a man can do a woman can do better”.
The Ag. Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos is a record breaker. Prof. Folasade Ogunsola is her name. She is the first female to become a Vice Chancellor at the University of Lagos. Prof. Ogunsola broke the about 3 score years record of male dominance in the Vice Chancellorship of UNILAG. She earlier broke the record of being the first female Provost of the College of Medicine of the University.
Prof. Ogunsola had her education at the University of Wales, University of Lagos (Unilag) and Obafemi Awolowo University OAU) . She is a Medical Microbiologist who has several research works/outputs in the area of infectious diseases, antibiotic resistance, HIV/AIDS, disease control and prevention.
The female Prof was born in 1958 and is 62 years old.
